I took these pictures today of this crazy looking bar that burnt down last week near my house.

Fascinating little game, I think. Simple in its premise, deep in gameplay. you have planets and ships and that's it. The planets have a certain production level, and a defense fleet you'll have to overcome before you can take advantage of it. You have to pick the planets you invade carefully, and don't spread yourself too thin, or you'll be vulnerable to easy toppling. No resources other than planets and production. Games are decided fast and you have to be quick. Get the demo, and if you like it, the full version is only $19.95. Get it here. |

When will people stop using such hideously trite phrases that amount to little more than trendy semantic quibbles? "Tipping point," my ass. Malcolm Gladwell should be shot for dropping that linguistic bomb on America. Now every single little problem we have now has a "tipping point" that we take great pleasure in predicting and tracking. Your dog shitting in the house instead of the yard? Beat him until he reaches the tipping point. Can't get girls? Act like a rank turd until you reach the tipping point where girls will suddenly start loving your freak ass. I had Popeyes for dinner. All of a sudden, I hit the tipping point, and I suddenly had no food left! What a magical phenomenon!
The whole thing is sophistry for, "I wasn't paying attention, then all of a sudden I was! OMG!" |
